Hollywood Loves Jordan!
So who can forget that scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade whenour hero, chased though the desert by villains, races through a narrow canyon on horseback to find a spectacularly unbelievable sight facing him at the very end: The Treasury Building. To be honest, we thought it was Hollywood CGI when we first saw it. But this is the entrance to Petra, sometimes called the Eighth Wonder of the World, and recognized as one of the Seven New Wonders of the World. But wait, that’s just for starters. You really must see where Lawrence of Arabia and Mission to Mars were filmed in Wadi Rum!

A Jordanian-Californian Living in Amman Mona Naffa was born in Southern California to Jordanian parents (a beauty queen and a history professor – and that’s another great story). As a young woman, Mona fell in love with and married a Jordanian tourism executive and returned with him to live in Amman.
