GO GREEN with Jordan’s ecological sites-Dana Reserve.


Your Dana Reserve Tour starts early.  The highlights of the day are the vast fertile terrain of the Rift Valley and natural wildlife.  Dana is famed for their hiking trails and stunning sceneries.   In Dana, your driver will assist choosing a hike either guided or a self to enjoy the spectacular views, entrance to the Dana Village, and lunch prepared by the natural reserve in Dana.  Most of your meal is organic and grown in the reserve.     

Dana Reserve, Jordan’s largest nature reserve composed of a chain of valleys and mountains, plus beautiful landscape along the face of the Great Rift Valley.   Its geology is as varied as its landscape, switching from limestone to sandstone to granite which extends from the top of the Jordan Rift Valley to the desert lowlands of Wadi Araba. The Reserve is famed for its bird-watching, archaeological sites and stunning scenery.   More than 800 plant species can be found within the reserve, 3 which have only ever been recorded in Dana.  Dana supports a wide variety of wildlife, including many rear species of plants and animals. It is home to several globally threatened species of birds and mammals, such as Syrian Serin Serinus syriacus, Lesser Kestrel Falco naumanni, Blanford's Fox Vulpes cana and Nubian Ibex Capra nubiana.

Dana supports a wide variety of wildlife, including many rare species of plants and animals. The largest breeding colony in the world for Syrian Serin is located in Dana, while the Lesser Kestrel is also found to breed in the area.

As you enter Dana Village, you will be greeted by a local guide to take you on a nature hike to explore the great outdoors.  Hike at your leisure.
